LIMP BIZKIT's FRED DURST Injures Back On SUMMER SANITARIUM TOUR

July 23, 2003

LIMP BIZKIT frontman Fred Durst reportedly injured his back on Friday night (July 18th) during the band's Summer Sanitarium set in Landover, Maryland. Durst is said to have seen a doctor, who is believed to have given him the "green light" to play the next two shows, in Columbus, Ohio (July 19) and in Montreal (July 20),with the help of some pain medication.

Durst's injury is not believed to be serious enough to prevent the band from performing the rest of then shows scheduled on the Summer Sanitarium tour, which wraps up on August 10 in San Francisco.

As previously reported, LIMP BIZKIT guitarist Mike Smith hurt his back a few days before Durst during a headlining show on July 16 in New York City. He was taken away by ambulance and diagnosed with a pinched nerve.

LIMP BIZKIT have finished recording the follow-up to their 2000 release, "Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water", tentatively due in September. The as-yet-untitled effort was produced by Durst and was mixed by Brendan O'Brien (PEARL JAM, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, PAPA ROACH).
